Hong Kong/ Gauting, 30th. of August 2005 – Students, time is up with loafing around! Cool, are those who are ready for the start of school term! For example, in English. Clever Publishers and Cleverlearn, the specialist for English in internet, have had an exceptional idea in accordance with their school magazine, Clever!-Update (editing 260.000 exemplaries, produced six times per year) which is well known in school circles. The present issue of the youth magazine “Clever Update ”, which will be released at the start of term, contains the best of Cleverlearn’s English courses. The Clue: The gaps in the text must be completed. Whoever’s homework is completed correctly and on time, can look forward to a high-grade PDA .
To start the school year, both partners want to enthuse teachers and students through the usage of their Print-/Internet-Project, to integrate and strenghthen the usage of the internet in teaching methods. “ Teachers are still cautious with regards to online-learning”, says Sabine Heinroth, Managing Director of the longstanding Clever Publishers in Gauting ,near Munich. “Our experience and knowledge in school communications proves our combined Print/Internet offer, as being an effective and modern support for English as a subject – for both students and teachers.”
The many faceted tutorial begins with the next issue, which will be released on the 22nd. of August. Printed on each page, epitomes appear with gaps from lessons which are offered on the internet to students with varying capabilties in English. To prove that one has learnt accordingly, in each issue a task must be solved, and after half a school year, the three solutions are sent off to the Clever Publishers. The draw then takes place from all correct transmissions.
The English courses, of this joint campaign from Clever Publishers and Cleverlearn were carefully scrutinized beforehand from editors of the youth magazine. „The contents were convincing“, summed up Heinroth , „the online courses offer very good quality at a fair price. They are short and concisely prepared and spiced with humor“. “In such a way, learning is fun“, adds Heinrich Pletschacher, Manager of Cleverlearn in Munich. „Students can absorb the subject matter individually and configurate their core time more effectively.
